William Brown

October 14, 1934 — December 2, 2018

Hoyle Brown, 84, of Seminole, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 in Abilene. Funeral services are scheduled for 3pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlin. Burial will follow in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is set for Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm, prior to the funeral service.
William Hoyle Brown was born October 14, 1934, in Jones County, to Arza Staton and Fannie Emma (Dennis) Brown. After graduating high school, Hoyle moved out to west Texas and started working for El Paso Natural Gas Company; where he was employed for 36 years. No stranger to hard work, Hoyle would use his vacation time to farm. He loved being on the tractor plowing, sowing, and harvesting crops. Hoyle lived in Denver City for some time before he moved to Seminole and then back to Anson after he retired. He returned to Seminole with Denise in 2015 due to his declining health.
Hoyle was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Kay, who passed away June 2, 2004; two brothers, Joe and Don Brown; and his son-in-law Tom Curry.
Hoyle is survived by his children, Beadie Brown of Abilene, Denise Curry of Seminole, and Lance Brown and wife Deborah, of Anson; grandchildren, Kaleb Curry of Lubbock, Kaitlin Middleton (Drew), of San Antonio, Heather Barnes (Chris) of Edmond, OK and Sara Benjamin (Billy) of Mustang, OK; his brother, Jerry Brown and wife Lavona of Hamlin; sisters, Linda Baker of Lubbock and Wanda Bales of Sulphur Springs; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
