Randy Guerra, 49, passed away March 5, 2021. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Hamlin Fire Station, directed by Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Randy was born in Hamlin, Texas on November 17, 1971 to Petra and Roy Guerra Sr. He graduated from Hamlin High School in 1990. In 1999, Randy graduated from West Central Texas Council of Governments Law Enforcement Academy. He had two beautiful children, Amanda Nicole and Amy Alyssa Guerra. Randy married Katja Fitzgerald Guerra on January 11, 2014 and acquired his bonus children, Averi Ryann, Norman Alixander, and Amari Rae Garcia.

He was a police officer for approximately 20 years until he retired. Then Randy drove a truck for the Praters which he loved but decided to change jobs to be closer to home with his kids and wife. He was privileged to work at Hamlin Hospital District as Maintenance Technician for the hospital and clinic. His weekends were spent BBQing with his close friends and family or hunting and fishing. He valued family above all.

His brothers and sister were some of his closest friends and he loved them more than anything. Roy Guerra became more of a father figure to him after the death of their Daddy. Ricky Guerra was his go to every time he needed help with cars or tools. He enjoyed his weekly Saturday breakfasts with him as well. He admired his sister Cynthia Guerra for her nursing skills and never hesitated to call her with medical questions at all hours of the night. He also enjoyed meeting her in Abilene for dinner.

Randy was a very proud Uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. He enjoyed his time with them. He was a loving dog parent to Mya and Charlie, and his Angel pets Sugar Belle, Spike, Pancho, Weenie and Pop Pops.

Randy is preceded in death by his grandparents; Adolfo and Simona Guerra and his very loving parents Roy, Sr. And Petra Guerra.

Randy is survived by his wife, Katja, kids Amanda (Abilene) and Amy (Hamlin), Averi (Abilene), Amari (Hamlin)  and Alix (Golden, CO). His brothers, Roy and his wife Belinda (Edinburg, TX), Ricky (Hamlin) and sister, Cindy (Abilene). As well as, numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces and nephews.
