Obituary

Charles Lyn Parker, 73, beloved Husband and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on September 1, 2022.

He entered this world on October 29, 1948 in Jayton, TX, to Charles and Marie Parker.

He is survived by his wife Debora Parker; daughter Nikki Scott (Billy) and daughter Heather Bard (Brandon); son Chuck Parker (Joy), son Wesley Moon (Yanet) and son Brian Moon (Sierra); 2 sisters Gail Harvey (Alan) and Sandy Green. Lyn is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Lyn Graduated from Spur High School in 1967. He served in the Army from 1969 - 1971 and was a Vietnam Veteran. Lyn served his community in Spur Tx as a voluntary fireman. Lyn was a lifetime member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars in Anson Tx, as well as, Hamlin, Tx. He received multiple awards through the many years of being a member of the VFW, Lyn was a commander, as well as The Quartermaster. He received multiple awards in his time as Commander. Lyn spent his life doing many different things. He was a cattle hauler, a farmer, a mechanic, and a car painter. He worked for several car dealerships as the service manager, but his final career was working at the Anson Paint and Body as shop manager and painter. He would do anything for anyone and not expect a thing in return. Lyn gave 110% at work and nothing less. He was always a reliable person. Lyn spent his free time doing something his wife and himself loved doing, and that was cooking. Lyn competed in several BBQ cook offs and had won several awards. Lyn was an excellent worker, an amazing cook, and more importantly he loved his family and friends.

The family asks that in Lou of flowers you send donations to the Disabled Veterans or Cancer Research.

A memorial service will be held on September 10th, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Double Mountain Cemetery, Peacock, Tx.
