Valencia Spalding

HAMLIN VALENCIA MAE SPALDING, 57, passed away while working for the Lord at Church Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Hamlin. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. ation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the funeral home.

Born September 7, 1954, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Valencia was a daughter of the late Nathan Eugene quotN.E.quot and Gwendolyn Huffstetler Williams. She graduated from Hobbs High School in the top 10 of 500 students in 1972. Valencia married James Aubrey Spalding, March 15, 1974, in Hobbs, New Mexico and they moved to Hamlin in 1996. She loved her family, loved her church, enjoyed cooking and was a great seamstress.
Valencia was a member and piano player for the House of Prayer Holiness Church. She was very passionate about church, her family and living a clean Godly Life.

Valencia is preceded in death by her parents and one brotherinlaw Dow Cottrell.

Survivors include the one and only love of her life, James Spalding of Hamlin four sons and daughtersinlaw, Nathan and Amy Spalding, Myron and April Spalding, Tony and Megan Spalding, and Tyler and Sarah Spalding, all of Hamlin one daughter and soninlaw, Stephanie and Tim Bauldree of Hamlin three brother and sistersinlaw, Ronnie and Flower Williams, Bennett and Carol Williams, and Norman and Fama Williams four sisters and brothersinlaw, Sharon Cottrell, Janice and Ronnie Lee, Dorcas and Arvin Spalding, and Laneta and Donny Campbell twelve grandchildren, Madison Glenn, Robin, Slade, Gracee, DeLaina, Madeline, Jacey, Julie, Parker, Bentley, Lauren, and Marley and numerous nieces and nephews.
