Tomasa Villanueva

Tomasa Villanueva, 92, passed away Monday October 24, 2011, in Stamford. Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2011, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hamlin. Burial will be in the Neinda Cemetery, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the funeral home.

Born September 22, 1919, in Floresville, Tomasa was a daughter of the late Francisco and Andrea Perez Garza. She married Refugio Villanueva Jr. in Beeville in 1940. Tomasa was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family, working in the garden, and dancing.

Tomasa is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, three sons, one grandson, one granddaughter, and one greatgrandson.

Survivors include five sons, Roberto Villanueva daughterinlaw, Sandy of Hamlin, Jessie Villanueva of Hamlin, Ruben Villanueva, Sr. of Stamford, Frank Villanueva of Hamlin, Julio Villanueva daughterinlaw, Sandra of Stamford three daughters, Gloria Munoz soninlaw, Pete of Abilene, Delia Villanueva of Abilene, and Maria Chavez of Hamlin thirtyone grandchildren fiftytwo greatgrandchildren five greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
