Tincy Blanton

HAMLIN Tincy V. Blanton, just shy of 105, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Services will be heldon 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Hamlin. Burial will be at the Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home.

Tincywas born on December 19, 1906 in Coleman County to John Larkin and Dora Mae Hamilton Cheshire.She married James L. Blanton on December 23, 1923 in Coleman County and moved to Hamlin in July of 1932. They had three children, Dora Aleese Blanton, J.L. Blanton and Jody Norris Blanton. She was a homemaker andher husband, Jamesraised registered Hereford cattle for many years. Tincy was alsoan accomplished artist and she taught art lessons to many in her community. She was named quotArtist of the Yearquot for Jones County in 1979.Tincy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamlin.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three children, four sisters, two brothers, and one grandson.

Tincy is survived by three granddaughters, Debra Blanton Holland, Lana Clift and husband Terry, Tracy Hoya and husband Rusty one grandson,James Blanton and wife Kathy six greatgrandchildren ten greatgreatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgreatgranddaughter.
