HAMLIN SHARLA ELAINE WHEAT, 50, passed away Monday June 25, 2012 at an Abilene hospital. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with burial at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. Her family will have visitation 6:00 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made to

Sharla was born November 21, 1961 in Hamlin to Charlie Frank and Martha Gage Turner. She was raised in Hamlin and graduated fro Hamlin High School in 1980. Sharla married Clint Wheat May 13, 1987 in Hamlin. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Howard Drug in Hamlin for ten years and then Clinic Pharmacy in Rotan for the last eighteen years. Sharla loved her grandchildren whom she affectionately referred to as her grandvarmints, being outdoors and hunting rattlesnakes. She was always helping anybody she could, yet she always made time to tease her brother, Guy. Sharla was president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. She is preceded in death by her mother and grandparents T.P. and Dump Turner and L.B. and Anna Ray Gage.

Sharla is survived by her husband, Clint Wheat of Hamlin one son, Kelly Chance Brown of Hamlin two daughters and a soninlaw, Emily Wheat of Haskell and Misti and Jason Isbell of Haskell father, Charlie Frank Turner of Noodle brother and sisterinlaw, Guy and Jennifer Turner of Stith five grandchildren, Austin Blaze Brown, Aubrey Dawn Isbell, Logan Ray Isbell, Carley Hope Isbell and Presley Jewel Morris and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
