Ricky Villanueva

Ricky Lee Villanueva passed from this life to his heavenly home at Hendrick Medical Center on Tuesday morning, September 1, 2020. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 10:00 am, September 10, 2020 at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home in Hamlin, Texas with Paul Matta officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Born March 13, 1982 in Hamlin, Texas, Ricky was the son of Ricardo Villanueva and Kathleen Wilson.

His father later married Lori Drayton. They lived a good part of their life in Toledo, Ohio. Ricky attended E.L. Bowsher High School in Toledo until the age of sixteen when he moved back to Texas.

Ricky was a loving father who loved all his children equally.  He had a kind, loving heart, and would do anything for anyone that he could. Ricky enjoyed family, being a father, friend, son, and brother. He loved dancing and the Good Lord knows he is dancing in the sky right now.

His favorite holidays were Thanksgiving and Christmas because it was a time of family gatherings. Family was everything to Ricky. He thought about his family even if they were a far distance away. Ricky was loved by many and will be greatly missed!

Ricky is preceded in death by; his father, Ricardo Villanueva; his mother, Kathleen Wilson; his grandmother, Josepha Villanueva; and his maternal grandparents, Patsy Sudderth and Robert Wilson.

He leaves behind; his children, Christian Villanueva, Brantley Villanueva, Dezirae Ray and Michael Ray; his wife, Diana Barrera; three brothers, Jason Villanueva (fiancé Kara Moreno) of Toledo, Ohio, Timothy Wilson of Abilene, Texas, and Leonids Flores of Abilene; three sisters, Jessica Villanueva of Abilene, Shaleen Bracamonte of Tucson, Arizona, and Asia Morrison of Hamlin; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
