Rebecca Chavez, a devoted homemaker known for her loving and caring nature, passed away on April 26, 2026. Born on December 23, 1941, Rebecca lived a life marked by her dedication to family, her passion for sewing, and her delight in reading, flowers, and spending cherished moments visiting with her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Rebecca embraced the role of homemaker with grace and unwavering commitment. Her nurturing spirit was evident in every aspect of her life, touching the hearts of those around her.
Rebecca is survived by her six sons: Jorge Arce (Norma), Humberto Arce (Nelly), Gerardo Arce (Sonja), Roel Arce, Andres Arce (Margaret), and Noe Arce (Virginia).
Her legacy continues through twelve grandchildren: Andrew, Thomas, Aric, Leroy(Brittany), Troy (Ana), Cory, Adriel (Gabrielle), Jermey (Kamron), Rebecca (Josh), Joel, Daniel(John), and Noe Jr. (Kayla) and twelve great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Emma, Dawson, Elizabeth, Aisley, Nevaeh, Adalyn, Axel, Aceyn Royce, Rhowen, Rebekah, Alison, Alaina, and Archer, all of whom carry forward the values and love she imparted. Rebecca also leaves behind siblings Esmeralda Rivera and Eduardo Rivera, who, along with the extended family, will deeply feel her loss.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Florentino Chavez, and her parents, Pantaleon and Anita (Hinojosa) Cano. Rebecca also mourned the loss of two brothers: Lupe Villanueva and Alfredo Gonzalez, whose memories remain a treasured part of her life story.
A visitation to honor and celebrate Rebecca’s life will be held on April 29, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on April 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Rebecca Chavez’s enduring love for her family, coupled with her gentle spirit and the joy she found in simple pleasures, will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her life serves as a testament to the power of kindness, devotion, and the comfort found in the bonds of family.
