Pearlie Mayes

Pearlie was a daughter of the late James C., Sr. and Rebecca Bass Mayes. She was employed at the Compress, worked as a cook and a Domestic Engineer for the Feagan Family for many years. Pearlie, affectionately known as Granny or Boss Lady loved to cook, fish and garden.

Pearlie is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter JoElla Miller Turner, four sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Lola Douglas eleven grandchildren twentyseven greatgrandchlidren twenty greatgreatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgreat grandchild the Feagan children and grand children and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A very special Thank You to Barbara Bobbie Hooper Brown for her loyal and devoted time, prayers, daily visits and all of the love and care that she gave to Pearlie.
