Born October 12, 1938, in Jimenez, Coahila, Mexico, Morris was a son of the late Juan Francisco and Ascencion Cabral Reyes. He married Felipa Sandoval March 3, 1963, in Jimenez, Coahila, Mexico.
They moved to Hamlin in 1969 from Aspermont. Morris worked in the oilfield for Halliburton for several years before going to work for the Alexander Ranch for 14 years. He was a proud cowboy who loved working on the ranch. Morris was a member of the Catholic Church.

Morris is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Guadalupe Reyes, and three sisters Diamantina Mejia, Corina De Hoyos, and San Juanita Arreola.

Survivors include his wife, Felipa Reyes of Hamlin two sons and daughtersinlaw, Max and Elaine Reyes of Abilene, Mauricio and Michaela Reyes of Hohensfel, Germany three daughters and sonsinlaw, Catalina and Phillip Kerr of Chantilly, VA, Rita and George Pavlik of San Antonio, and Rosantina and Curtis Goforth of Wagoner, OK one brother and sisterinlaw, Joe quotChemaquot and Celia Reyes of Cisco one sister and brotherinlaw, Maria and Oscar Tejerina of Eagle Pass fourteen grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
