Mary Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 78, of Abilene, Texas passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 peacefully surrounded by her family.
She was born July 29, 1939 in Hamlin, Texas to W.O. and Lucille (Carr) Willbanks. She graduated from Hamlin High School in 1957. She married Murl "Skipper" Smith on September 3, 1960 and together they had two children. Mary Ann, known to most as "Giggy", enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family. She was a born storyteller and her laugh was contagious. She also loved to paint, read, and watch her Texas Rangers play baseball.
She is survived by her children; Joe (Andrea) Smith of Bridgeport, Mindy (Tim) Seymour of Abilene, grandchildren; Jodi Smith, Cassi Smith, Carli Smith, Amanda Seymour, Jeffrey Seymour, {Extended family Jessica, Chancey, Wyatt, Gracelyn and Maverick Barker, and Riley Kidd}, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will receive visitors Monday, January 29, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home of Hamlin. Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, January 30, 2018; with a short visitation from 10am to 11am prior to the funeral services, at Southwest Park Baptist Church in Abilene, where she was a member.
The family would like to thank Dr. Schultz, Dr. Haeslip, and Hospice of the Big Country. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Big Country.
