Mary Cogsdil

HamlinMary LaVelle Bell McComack Cogsdil, 68, passed away Monday July 14, 2014, in Houston. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 19, 2014, at the Hamlin Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in McCaulley Cemetery, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home.

Born November 7, 1945, in Stanton, TX, Mary was a daughter of the late Andrew Thomas and Elsie Cora Medford McComack. She married William Leroy Bill Cogsdil, Sr. July 7, 1961, in Hamlin. Mary worked as a draftsman and office manager at CC Survey Company that she owned and operated along side her husband. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for several years in Hamlin. Mary enjoyed shopping and was sometimes referred to as a Shopoholic she could not pass up a garage sale.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son William Leroy Roy Cogsdil, Jr., one sister, Tommy Louise Doty and one brother Michael David McComack.

Survivors include two daughters and sonsinlaw, Kelly and Bill Yeamans of Houston and Taunya and Harley Gruben of Dayton three brothers, Andy McComack, Richard McComack and wife Linda, Jack McComack and wife Kimberly one sister, Marie Mattox two grandchildren, Dylan Thomas Yeamans and Skylar Daun Gruben and numerous nieces and nephews.
