HAMLIN Mary Helen Teague Cauble, 87, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012, in Pinehurst. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. ation will be 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012, at the funeral home.

Born May 12, 1924 in rural Jones County , near Hamlin, Mary was a daughter of the late Ray and Clara McClenden Teague. She attended school in Hamlin and Roby and played basketball for Roby High School where she graduated. Mary married J.C. Wendel Cauble of Hamlin on September 11, 1943 in Anson. They had one son. Gary Wayne Cauble born in 1947. They lived at the Hamlin South Lake where they worked for the City of Hamlin for many years. She also worked at several businesses in Hamlin including JM McDonalds and The Hamlin Compress. Mary is known for her many devoted hours of service to the First United Methodist Church of Hamlin where she served as Secretary beginning in 1971. She served with 15 pastors during thirtyseven years of service beginning with Dr. Luther Kirk in 1971 and ending with Pastor Terry O39Rear when she retired in 2008. Mary moved to Pinehurst to be near her son in 2010.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband J.C. Cauble, parents, brother Sidney Teague, and three sisters Robbie Taylor, Clara Mae Thorn, Winnie Beth Black.

She is survived by her son Gary Cauble and his fianceacute Heather Michelle Reich of Pinehurst, Texas brother, John Teague and his wife Marion of Abilene cousin Larry McClenden of Sylvester, Texas and much loved nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
