Lenora Smith

Polly was born near Hamlin May 25, 1932, and graduated from high school at McCaulley in 1949. She married Ray Smith of Hamlin January 29, 1950. Polly retired from Texas Health and Human Services on February 29, 2000. She was an avid reader especially the Bible and a songwriter.

Polly is preceded in death by her husband, Ray T. Smith of Buchanan Dam, August 29, 2003, and by her parents, Lee and Mattie Smart of Hamlin, and three brothers Delbert Ray Smart, R. L. Smart and Carl Gene Smart.

Polly is survived by three children and their spouses, Rhonda Turner and husband Louie of Fort Worth, Randy Smith and wife Sarah of Burnet, and Paula Braddock and husband Ronnie of Lamesa eight grandchildren thirteen greatgrandchildren one greatgreatgrandchild one brother and sisterinlaw, Verlous and Evelyn Smart of Hamlin four sisters and two brothersinlaw, Neoma Bailey of Hamlin, Lucille and Bill Carter of Hamlin, Lorene Dowell of McCaulley, and LaVerne and Butch Glass of Canyon Lake, Texas and a beloved sisterinlaw, Mildred Pitcock Ferrell of Burleson, Texas.
