John Alan Turner

John Alan Turner, born on October 17, 1955, in Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2025. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him

He loved spending his free time fishing and hunting, activities that provided him with joy and an opportunity to connect with nature. Additionally, he cherished moments spent watching television and enjoying the company of his family, reflecting his deep-seated value for relationships and shared experiences.

He is survived by his children, Loran Turner and Amelia Turner, as well as his grandsons, Jacob and Dominic.   He is also remembered by his brother Danny Turner and sister-in-law Tracy Turner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Booth Turner and Sudie Hancock Turner.

A graveside service will be held on August 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, located at 11639 County Rd 111, Hamlin, Texas 79520. Friends and family are welcome to attend to celebrate John’s life and provide support to those he leaves behind. His love for family, and the simple joys of life will remain cherished in the hearts of many.
