HAMLIN IDA MAE JOINER SCOTT, 95, passed away Friday November 2, 2012 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at the Hamlin Church of Christ with burial at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. Her family will have visitation 4:30 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at adamsfosterrayfh.com

Ida Mae was born August 18, 1917 to Benjamin Ben and Ida Harriet Hoffman Joiner at Fairy, Texas. Her family moved to Hamlin when she was seven years old where she resided for eightyeight years. Ida Mae married Woodie B. Scott at Hamlin on November 6, 1943. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. Ida Mae was a member of the Hamlin Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband Woodie B. Scott in December 2004, parents, four sisters Emma Vera Rankin, Oleta Essary, Ruby Joiner and Bessie Huffman.

Ida Mae is survived by three sons and two daughtersinlaw, Billie Frank Hall of Hamlin, Paul Kenneth and Janet Scott of Moss Landing, California and Dickie and LaVeda Scott of Abilene daughter and soninlaw, Linda and Peter Kenyon of Bolton, Lancashire, England ten grandchildren ten greatgrandchildren one greatgreatgrandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamlin Church of Christ.
