Herminia A. (Tia Minnie) Benavides received her angel wings on March 15, 2024, at Homeplace Manor in Hamlin, Texas. She was born on January 24, 1941, in San Patricio, Texas to Catarino and Maria Benavides. She was lovingly known as "Tia Minnie or Tia." She will be greatly missed for all her love and affection. She will always hold a special place in everyone's heart.
Throughout her years she was a very dedicated hard worker. She worked as a seamstress for Walls Industries in Sweetwater, Texas and Russell-Newman in Stamford, Texas. She was employed by Pied Piper Pet & Wildlife, Inc and as a home health care attendant for several years.
Tia Minnie was known for her love of playing bingo, mexican loteria, sewing and quilting. Her best moments were scratching her lottery tickets and visiting the slot machines at the game room. She will always be an inspiration, loving, caring, funny 'Tia' to all her family. Her best cherished moments were enjoyed visiting with family and friends talking about her angels.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Catarino and Maria Benavides; Brothers, Santana Valdez, Domingo Sr., Guillermo, Eugenio Sr., and Sebastian Sr. Benavides; Sisters, Petra Robles and Felipa Garcia; two nephews and three nieces.
Surviving family members include several nieces and nephews, also great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Juan Martin Benavides, Adam Benavides, Isaiah Cortez, Mathew Moreno, Brandon Moreno, Tony Garcia and Xavier Moreno.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Domingo C. Benavides, Jr., Daniel Benavides, Jessie Rodriguez, Rogelio Aguilar, Raul Robles, Roel Robles and Gilbert Garcia.
Gone but will never be forgotten. We Love You Tia!!!
