Harold Miller

November 13, 1926 — June 12, 2018

Harold L. Miller, 91, also known as HL, passed away June 12, 2018. He was born on November 13, 1926 to Colonel Leander and Fannie Elizabeth (Thompson) Miller in Moran, Tx.
Graveside services will be at Gunsight Cemetery, Saturday, at 10 A.M. June 16, 2018, under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Chapel, Friday evening 6:00 to 7:00 PM, June 15, Hamlin, Tx.
Harold was a Baptist and a high school graduate of Moran, Tx. He enlisted in The United States Army and served during World War II. He went on to work for Shell Pipe Line, starting out as a pipe liner, working his way up to Operational Foreman, before retiring 41 years later.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Adella Miller, four sisters Jesse Stanford, Mae Henry, Pauline Hart, Grace Isbell and two brothers Horace and Kenneth Miller.
He is survived by his son Harold Loyd Miller Jr. and Carolyn, son Peter Camacho and Debby, daughter Paula Higgins and Tommy Joe and brother C.L. Miller of Moran, Tx. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren are Becky Camacho Vosika of Kailua Hawaii, Christopher Camacho of San Francisco, Casey Camacho of San Antonio, Jennifer Higgins Peterson, of Peachtree City, Ga., Janell Higgins of Abilene, Jeffrey Higgins of Hamlin. Great grandchildren are Natalie Sonberg and Vivian Vosika of Kailua Hawaii, Bailey Beasley of Tuscola and Tyler Higgins of Peachtree City, Ga.
Harold loved to play golf, and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Hamlin Pied Pipers!
Special thanks to our wonderful Hamlin Physicians, Nurses and Home Place Manor Nursing Home for all your loving care. Also, Hamlin's caring Community, including our local Churches, Musicians and Schools for being so generous and kind in reaching out to our local nursing home residents.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to our Local Meals on Wheels, Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
