Glen Ford Hunter, 61, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 in Hamlin, Texas. There will be a wake from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, June 28, 2024, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home. Services will be 11:00 am Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Hamlin. Burial will follow in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery.
Glen Ford Hunter was born May 18, 1963 to Walter Willie Hunter Sr. and Katherine Hunter. He was born child number seven of twelve children. Glen attended Hamlin Schools and graduated in 1981. He then went on to work for Pied Piper Pet and Wildlife up until the change in owners, where he finished his career with Teague Diversified totaling over thirty-eight years of hard work. He had a love for barbequing, watching sports, politics, caring for his lawn and garden, and being with his family and friends.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Willie Hunter Sr. and Katherine Hunter; baby brother, Christopher Hunter; grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Left to mourn his passing are sisters, Lavine Coleman Jimerson (Jimmie), of Tuscon Arizona. Vanessa Hunter (Willie Glover), of Abilene, Texas, Gloria Hunter, Erma Walker, Idella Hunter, and Shirley Hunter all of Hamlin, Texas; brothers, Walter Hunter Jr. (Debbie) of Abilene, Texas, Robert Hunter, Lem Hunter, and John Hunter all of Hamlin, Texas; aunts, Alberta Mayes and Mary Johnson of Tuscon, Arizona, Erma Mayes of Hamlin, Texas; uncles, Willis Perry Jr. (Betty) of Tuscon, Arizona, and William Brown of Hamlin, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
