Foy Burdett

Born June 22, 1954, in Grandview, Texas, Foy was the son of John Edwards and Dovie Lura Trussell Burdett. He married Allie Louise Prickett in Jones County, Texas, on November 3, 1975. He worked in the oilfield, and is remembered as a very strong man. In his spare time, he loved taking care of his grandkids, and his pride and joy, Joseph. Foy was a lifelong resident of Jones County.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Allie Louise Burdett two sisters, Darlene Howell and Bonnie Moorefield and one brother, Johnny Burdett.

Foy is survived by five sons and three daughtersin law, Leslie Galloway and wife, Daphne, of Hamlin, Jerry Lee Prather and wife, Tammy, of Hamlin, Thomas Prather of Abilene, Joseph BarclayBurdett of Hamlin, and Keith Land and wife, Tracey, of Hamlin seven daughters and one soninlaw, Bridgett Bennett of Arkansas, Mary Beth Land of Gatesville, Jean Burdett of Arkansas, Angela Blackburn of Arkansas, Tosha Burdett of Hamlin, Rachel Burdett of Hamlin, and Kayla Griggs and husband, Kenneth Davis, of Hamlin two sisters, Barbara Hill and husband, James, and Ruby Smith and husband, Jack several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
