Evelyn Smart

EVELYN LEONA (PERRY) SMART, 82, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016, at an Abilene hospital.
Born October 29, 1934, in Radium, Texas, Evelyn was the daughter of Mattie Lee (Pyron) and Bo Perry. She married the love of her life, Verlous D. Smart, on July 28, 1950, in Hamlin, Texas. Evelyn worked in the meat market at Piggly Wiggly for many years. She was a member of the Hamlin Assembly of God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Verlous Smart; her parents, Bo and Maddie Perry; two brothers, Sonny Perry and Pee Wee Perry; one sister, Wanda Houghton; and one great-granddaughter, Jordan Osborne.
Evelyn is survived by three sons, Danny D. Smart and wife Norma Joy, Garry Smart, and Lynn Smart and wife, Gloria; nine grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
