Delaine (Del) Hansen

November 25, 1953 — March 21, 2020


Delaine ‘Del’ Hans Hansen, 66, of McCaulley went to be home with the Lord March 21, 2020. He was born in Onawa, Iowa. Del served his country with honors in the Air Force as a tech sergeant for over 20 years. He was in active service during Desert Shield, stationed in Turkey. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Texas Department of criminal justice for over 17 years. After retiring from there, he worked for Sweetwater Walmart until health issues forced him to retire. Del loved camping, fishing and taking the grandchildren along and riding his motorcycle. Del delighted in being a jokester.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie, of McCaulley, Three children, son Steven Teague and wife Amy of Sweetwater, daughter Lanette Trainham and husband Stony of Crowell and daughter Leigha Vina and husband Martin of Hamlin, 8 grandchildren: Steven, Seanna, Lily, Kirra, Ripley, Paytin, Aiden and Mackinzie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Clara Hansen, brother Dwayne ‘Butch’ Hansen, Diane Hansen and Norman Rolph.

Surviving siblings are sister Marsha Rolph of Iowa, three brothers David and wife Marge of Illinois, Douglas of Tennessee and twin brother Dwight and wife Cindy of Illinois along with numerous nieces and nephews. Among his many friends, one who served in the Air Force with Del, and was like a brother to him, Charles and wife Elizabeth Goodwater of Iowa.

Graveside service will be held March 24, 2020 for immediate family only. Celebration of life will be held at a later date directed by Adams Foster Funeral Home.
