CALLAN JAMES "C.J." GARNER, 24, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, near Hamlin, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, at the Hamlin Church of Christ, with burial following at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.
Born November 28, 1992, in Abilene, Texas, C.J. was the son of Sandra (Denton) and Jimmy Callan Garner. He attended school in Hamlin for many years. C.J. worked as a casing stabber for Byrd Oilfield Services. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and listening to music.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Denton.
C.J. is survived by his father, Jimmy (Wanda) Garner; his mother, Sandra Bowen; his girlfriend, Tori Barr; his grandmothers, Pauline Denton and Lesta Garner; his grandfather, O.C. Garner; five siblings, Amanda Lazoya, Cody Huff, Lisa Carrington, Michael Walker, Ray Carter, and Margret Hayhurst; and numerous beloved friends.
