HAMLIN C W SAMPLE, 66, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with burial at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery under the ion of AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. ation will be 6:00 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

C W was born November 10, 1946 to Finis and Rosie Blount Sample at Timpson, Texas. He graduated from Oscar Depriest High School in 1965. He served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he was severely wounded and received the Purple Heart. C W is preceded in death by his father, two children Coy McGee and Earl Dean.

C W is survived by his mother, Rosie Johnson six children, Taylisa Cork, Carol Gundratt, Laroy Simmons, Devon Sample, Christopher Minor and Lexus Malone Sample three stepchildren, Anna Dean, Vickie Portland and Porche Malone two brothers and a sisterinlaw, Leonard and wife Ester Johnson, and Kenneth Johnson one sister, Shirley Burns and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins
