Billy Thomas Deel, born March 5, 1933, in Hitson, Texas, passed away on September 23, 2026.

Billy was a devout Christian man. He will be remembered as a man who loved the simple and lasting gifts of life. He loved to fish, cherished time outdoors, and found joy in woodworking. Above all, he loved his family, and that love was at the heart of the life he lived.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alley Deel; his mother, Ethel C. Deel; and his wife, Elizabeth Deel.

Billy’s memory will be carried forward with love by his children: his son, Tommy Deel and his wife, Katha; and his daughters, Angela Deel, Missy Oilfield, and Tammy Griffith and her husband, Steve; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. In the lives of those who knew and loved him, he leaves behind the steady presence of a man whose greatest happiness was found in family, in the outdoors, and in the work of his hands.

A graveside service for Billy Thomas Deel will be held on September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Hamlin Memorial Cemetery, 11639 County Rd 111, Hamlin, Texas 79520.

Billy will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
