Born September 11, 1947, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Barbara was the daughter of Billy Ray and Mary Dena Huling Brown. She married the love of her life, Jackie Trueitt Jeffrey, on May 3, 1962, at the McCaulley Baptist Church. The couple lived and raised their children in McCaulley and Noodle, where Barbara held various jobs over the years. Her primary occupation, however, was as a homemaker. She had a passion for home decorating, especially with antiques she purchased, and was an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially when she could get her whole family together. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hamlin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Mary Brown, and her son, Michael Britt Jeffrey.
Barbara is survived by her husband of fiftytwo years, Jackie Jeffrey one son, Jay Jeffrey of Hutto two daughters, Tami Maberry and husband, Ken, of Mineola, and Lori Benavides of McCaulley one sister, Carol Stone of Sweetwater two grandsons, Wylie Maberry and Camron Benavides four granddaughters, Molli Maberry, Ashton Alderman and her husband, Cheyenne, Shea Jeffrey, and Bailey Jeffrey two greatgrandsons, Tadem Alderman and Titus Alderman and numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.
