Andrew Mccomack

Andrew Fred McComack passed away July 27, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Victory Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas with burial to follow in Elmwood Memorial Cemetery in Abilene. Services are under the direction of Adams-Foster-Ray Funeral Home.

Andrew was born on July 8, 1948 to Thomas and Elsie McComack. At the age of 17 Andy joined the US Army and spent two tours in Vietnam. While in the service he met and married Susan Wykle in Maryland. Andy was stationed at numerous bases in the United Stated and overseas.

After retiring from the military, he went to work at Abilene Regional Hospital in the maintenance department. Andy attended Victory Baptist Church for over thirty years. He loved his church family, especially Pastor David and wife, Ruth, Sims. They were very close friends. Andy’s favorite pastime was fishing which he loved doing with his family and friends or alone peacefully.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara McComack, sisters and brothers-in-law, Levelle and William Cogsdale, Tommy and Dennis Doty, brothers Richard (Linda), McComack and Michael McComack.

Andrew is survived by one daughter, Melanie Stewart (Jody) of Abilene; three grandchildren, Justin Stewart, Stacey Stewart and Levi Darby (Alisha); two great grandchildren, Rowdy and Miles; sister, Marie Mattox of Richland Hills, Texas; brother, Jacky and Kimberly McComack of Missouri.
