HAMLIN CAROL ANN ALEXANDER, 52, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in Abilene. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at the Church of the Nazarene in Hamlin, ed by AdamsFosterRay Funeral Home. ation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born February 18, 1959, in Port Orchard, Washington, Carol was the daughter of Jerry Leon Hart and the late Susan Elizabeth Ohlund Hart. She married Michael Gatewood June 28, 1978, in Bremerton, WA. He preceded her in death March 10, 1999. Carol moved to Corpus Christie in 1978 and later moved to Hamlin in 1984. She graduated from Texas State Technical College in 1993 with an Associates Degree in accounting. She worked for the Hamlin National Bank for seventeen years as a teller.
Carol married Lee Alexander December 30, 2007, in Hamlin.

Carol was a faithful member of the Nazarene Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W.. She enjoyed painting Christmas villages, camping, reading books and watching hummingbirds.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Alexander of Hamlin two daughters, Rhonda Gatewood of Copperas Cove, and Jamie Salazar and husband, Wholshane of Rockport her father, Leon Hart and wife, Carol, two brothers, Richard Hart and wife, Dixie, and Jerry Hart and wife, Debra two granddaughters, Alexandria Marie Salazar and Isis Sheodai Salazar and her beloved puppies, Zeus and Gidget.
